ANNA GILMORE

Anna Gilmore, CPM, Registered Midwife in Colorado, is mother to 8 wonderful children whose beautiful home births inspired her to begin midwifery college in 2014 so that she serve other families who desired home birth. She has been practicing in the Grand Valley since 2020.

VONDA KUNZ

Since 1983, Vonda has diligently served in many childbirth related capacities throughout the years. In addition to acting as a Second Attendant and Monitrice, she teaches childbirth classes, encapsulates placentas, lactation consults and serves in church ministry in her community.

ELIZABETH BEADLE

Elizabeth Beadle has wanted to be a midwife most of her adult life. Now her children are grown, she is assisting Anna at births in the Grand Valley, while considering which school to attend.

CANDACE SMITH

Candace birthed her children at home and is now assisting Anna while considering whether to be a doula or a midwife in the long term. She is eager to learn and loves to serve women in their time of need.

Meet the Team

Interested in becoming a midwife? We encourage students to start their midwifery journey by first training to assist at births. Assisting gives you a realistic experience of the on call lifestyle so that you can make a more informed decision before committing time and money to a 3-5 year midwifery training program. Experienced Assists (10+ births) get paid for their time. New Asssists can count every birth as one of the 10 "observe" births required for midwifery certification with NARM.
